Ingredients (Serves 2-3):
200g (about 2 cups) pasta (spaghetti, penne, or your favorite type)
3 tablespoons butter
2 garlic cloves, minced (or 1 teaspoon garlic powder)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions:
Cook the Pasta:
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Add the pasta and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
Reserve 1/2 cup of pasta water, then drain the pasta.
Prepare the Sauce:
In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat.
Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes, until fragrant (be careful not to burn it).
Combine:
Add the cooked pasta to the skillet with the garlic butter.
Toss to coat the pasta evenly. If the pasta seems dry, add a splash of the reserved pasta water to loosen it up.
Stir in the Parmesan cheese, if using.
Season and Serve:
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Garnish with parsley and a little extra Parmesan if desired.
This recipe is quick, easy, and perfect on its own or as a side dish. You can also add grilled chicken, shrimp, or veggies for a heartier meal!
